Sick, Sick, Sick

Poor Owen has been sick for over three weeks with a terrible cold that has now developed into an upper respiratory infection and double ear infection. Needless to say, the past few days around our house have been interesting. Seth and I haven’t been this sleep deprived in a long, long time. Unfortunately we had to cancel our weekend plans that included a trip to the pumpkin patch and our annual Halloween bash with college friends and their kids. Oh well, we always have next year. I just want my little one to start feeling better soon. We spent the weekend trying to convince Owen that his yucky antibiotic and cough suppressant was yummy (as you can probably guess, that didn’t go so well) and snuggling on the couch watching endless episodes of his favorite - Tom and Jerry.

Finally yesterday afternoon, Owen asked to go outside and play. It was such a beautiful, warm day that we couldn’t say no. Bach and Vee stopped by for a quick visit after church so we all enjoyed a short golf cart ride to the goldfish pond to feed the fish.

Halloween is just around the corner and Owen’s costume this year is toooo cute. Let’s hope and pray he will be well, energized and ready for trick-or-treating on Friday night!

We've missed that beautiful smile.

Cool, look at the turtles.
