A Busy Month...

Is February really almost over? Let's see if I can highlight some of our favorite moments from the past month! We had the opportunity to baby-sit our niece, Lilly, for the first time. I was a little worried how Owen would react to having Lilly in his house but he was such a helper. He built a tower for her with his blocks and showed her all his favorite books and trains. He even wanted to help with bath time…it was too sweet. Owen woke up early the next morning saying “Owen wants to play with Willy”. (He can’t pronounce his L’s so Lilly comes out Willy). We took Owen to the circus and the child cannot stop talking about it. He was absolutely fascinated with the elephants (ekks). We were a little hesitant about going because decent seats are a little pricey, but it was well worth every penny. If you haven’t been to the Barnum and Bailey Circus in a while – go! Because we've talked about nothing but animals over the past week, we went to the zoo last weekend and it was a beautiful day. He liked the "ekks" but was more intrigued with the tigers and alligators this time. Enjoy the pics!

I love this picture...Lilly can't take her eyes off silly Owen. She tried her best to talk to him.

She smiled throughout bath time. Owen stood nearby and talked to Lilly the entire time.

CIRCUS
Too bad Owen wouldn't take his eyes off the show long enough to smile for a family pic.

Notice all the circus gear...candy, toys, stuffed animals...who wouldn't have fun?

See ya circus...we will definitely be back next year!

ZOO

Owen kept trying to feed the alligator a snack and then proceeded to count his teeth.

What a difference one year makes!

Rewind...

Seth and I had fun at the annual debutant ball last weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed an "adult" night of cocktails, dancing, socializing and best of all - a good night's sleep. We didn't want the night to end but we found ourselves speeding home after breakfast the next morning so see Owen. It was a beautiful day and we did not want to waste a minute of playtime. So, Owen and Sambo chased each other around the yard ALL afternoon. Ah, I can't for warmer weather but in the meantime Owen has found an indoor hobby...blocks. He loves to see just how tall he can stack them before they tumble over. The taller the creation, the more excited he gets.

Owen stands back to admire his creation and figure out a way to make it taller.

He couldn't quite reach so his little creative mind came up with a plan.

"Daddy, bring my stool please. Now, that's better." (gotta love the Scooby Doo pj's)
Mommy steals a goodnight kiss. Because he is always on the move I take kisses when I can.
