First Day of School

Owen and I had a little homework last night to prepare for his first day of school. We had to complete a poster that was “All About Me”. I knew Owen was a sweet child but his responses to the questions literally brought tears to my eyes.

Me: Owen what do you want to be when you grow up?
Owen: Mama, I just want to be a smart man. I want to be a smart insurance man just like my daddy.

Me: If you had just one wish what would you wish for?
Owen: I just wish my family would always be together and nothing would ever hurt us.

Me: What is your favorite place?
Owen: Fishing at the lake with my Bach.

Me: What are your favorite things to do?
Owen: Fishing, swimming with my goggles, riding my bike (when I don’t get hurt), playing video games and playing with my brother Miles. I really hope Miles loves me as much as I love him.

Owen was all smiles this morning when I dropped him off for his first day of 4k. He unbuckled his seatbelt, put his book bag on his back and jumped out of the car and yelled, “love you mom, have a great day.” I cried (happy tears) the entire to work!!!

Hanging On To Summer

We are trying to hang on to what's left of the summer. Owen begins 4k in a couple of weeks and we finally take our family vacation. Quick update: Seth is working long hours but things are really going well at his agency. Owen is turning 5 next month and has mastered swimming. Miles is 8 months old and is such a sweet baby. He is sitting with little support but not even close to crawling. He rolls across a room to get what he wants, so funny. He is saying "ma ma", "da da" and lots of gibberish. He and Owen are best buds. Miles lights up when Owen walks in a room and Owen loves the attention.
